You Can Help, Too!
The Eleos Foundation does not accept direct grant proposals. Instead, it works through two global grant-making intermediaries. We encourage you to contact our grant-making intermediaries about how you can support Eleos' projects.

Mission Statement
The
Eleos Foundation is a Santa Barbara-based charitable organization
working to offer hope and self-sufficiency to impoverished people by
advancing access to health and education in the world's poorest
communities. Eleos is an ancient Greek word meaning "compassion joined
with a desire to help."
Eleos advances its mission in three ways:
- Making grants to not-for-profit organizations that are working to advance access
to health and education in highly impoverished communities
- Gathering religious, not-for-profit, philanthropic, and community leaders to foster
learning and to encourage collaboration in support of the Foundation's mission
- Gifting use of it's Ladera campus for retreat to groups that are engaged
in compassionate action in the area of global poverty
